David served six years in the US Air Force stationed in Texas, Turkey, Hawaii and North Dakota. He was honorably discharged from the military in the late-1980s and had a 17-year career as a prison guard with the Connecticut Department of Correction (DOC). While working with the DOC, he obtained a Bachelors Degree from UConn in 2000, and, after retiring from the DOC, an ALM in History from Harvard University EXT in 2016. His Masters’ thesis, “What’s the Matter With Walter: the Privatization of Everything in Breaking Bad,” has been nominated for two awards at Harvard.
