Research Interests: Post-Cold War relations between the US and former Soviet republics, particularly in regard to development and human rights


Biography: Megan Streit earned a B.A. in History and a B.A. in International Relations from Drake University in 2015 with a concentration in Philosophy and Religion. From 2015-2017 she worked abroad in Ukraine, Italy, and Russia, also spending time in Israel and Thailand. While pursuing her PhD here at UConn, Megan is hoping to study not only the factors and agendas of post-Cold War politics but the modern implications that this ongoing dichotomy creates.
