History Department Graduate Application for Travel Aid

This form is for graduate students of the UConn Department of History to request aid for travel to conferences and/or research trips. Funding for this aid comes from and is subject to departmental resources. Therefore the availability of aid may vary from year to year depending on the amount of funding available, the number of applications the department receives, and the eligibility of expenses requested.

Please note:

  • Requests should be submitted at least two (2) weeks in advance of travel.
  • Awards are typically ~$300 maximum
  • The submission of a travel aid request is not a guarantee of an award.
  • Awards are paid by travel reimbursement, and contingent upon submission of documentation showing actual expenses incurred after the trip (for travel reimbursement procedures, see here).
