I grew up in north Georgia and spent the early part of my twenties in Rochester, New York before moving back home to begin school.While at UNG my research focused on Jimmy Carter’s human rights campaign and its role in foreign policy, along with Colonial and Revolutionary America and presidential history. During my senior year I worked on a project titled “Hipocracy in United States Foreign Policy: The Failure of Human Rights Rhetoric and Drone Policy” as a Presidential Fellow with the Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress, and graduated magna cum laude.
Research Interests: 20th century American foreign relations with a particular focus on Cambodia, development of human rights rhetoric and policy, the Carter Administration, corporate America and the environment
