Bio: Yamila is an MA student with research interests in 19th and 20th century African American women’s history and civil rights. She graduated from UConn Stamford with a bachelor’s degree in History and a minor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality studies. Her undergraduate research project was focused on the New Haven chapter of the Black Panther Party in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
