New UConn History Prof. Hana Maruyama will participate in a virtual forum on “Animating Memories of Japanese American Incarceration” with the Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry. This event is a part of their Fall 2021 Puppet Forum Series and exhibit on Puppetry’s Racial Reckoning. In collaboration with theater artist Kimi Maeda, Hana Maruyama will discuss the impact and legacies of Japanese incarceration during World War II.
